This belt is 2" in width.
In accordance with the 1959 Dress Regulations this belt was discribed as obsolete but sadly it does not say from when, I do not have a dress regulation earlier than 1959. I have however spoken to our old Regtl Sec who was serving before the war and he thinks it was some time after the amalgamation in 1922 when it was taken into use as most other cavalry regiments did with the thin belt.
