MYSTERY BELTS - DECEMBER 2005

CAN YOU HELP TO IDENTIFY
THIS MYSTERY STABLE BELT?

    SUGGESTIONS

  • The belt is of BRITISH production (you can tell from the stitching template). The belt`s colours match the ARTILLERY, but its not because the blue is not royal. I would tip on a Royal colonial Regiment, possibly a commonwealth nation, probably African, with Elizabeth as Colonel in Chief.
  • Possibly an early version of 4th Regiment Royal Horse Artillery, same colours different dimensions.
  • The colours of this belt are similar to the Swedish National Colours awarded for the Battle of Leipzig. Therefore it could well be a Regiment or Battery belt of the Royal Horse Artillery.
  • You will find that your mystery Stable Belt under December 2005 is the belt of The Junior Tradesmen Regiment Rhyl (JTR RHYL) which was disbanded in 1974.

Outer red stripes - 3/4" in width
Blue stripes - 1/4" in width
Central yellow stripe - 1/2" in width
    Tan leather buckle and straps
