CAN YOU HELP TO IDENTIFY THIS MYSTERY STABLE BELT?
CLUES
The central stripe colour looks as if it is meant to be pale grey/off white, rather than a faded or dirty white
SUGGESTIONS
This belt is easy, as I recognised it immediately. The Queen`s Own Buffs (1961-66)
Possibly the Royal New Zealand Military Police
I used to be in the ACF in Maidstone, Kent and the colours of this belt are similar to the colours of the Royal West Kent Regiment (Dad’s Army). Not certain it is that but the colours are identical to the Regimental Tie.
This is the Stable Belt of the Queens Own Buffs as already mentioned and was worn also by TA and Cadets who were still wearing, Royal West Kent and Buffs cap badges untill December 1966, when they became part of the Queens Regiment
