CAN YOU HELP TO IDENTIFY THIS MYSTERY STABLE BELT?
Colours green yellow and red
A Women's Royal Army Corps buckle
Belt colours similar to the Adjutant General's Corps 1st pattern belt
What is the history behind this belt?
There was a time lapse of one year between (a) the dissbandment of the WRAC – 1991 - and the forming of the AGC in 1992 which swallowed them. I can well imagine them wearing this belt in the early days (hence the old pattern), until all the WRAC units were dissolved and the girls were safely attached to their Regts or Corps.
Or.......it may have some connection to The Bagshot College, which was then the “Sandhurst“ for WRAC officers.
It could well be that this is a sample for the AGC, to be worn by the WRAC personnel who moved across to the Corps
