From what I know, this stable belt is the only type of design and colour used by the Singapore Armed Forces for about 15 years from the late 1960s to about the early 1980s. It was worn only by officers and seemed to be worn by all branches and formations. Not many of our own soldiers knew the significance. Some thought it was just to be worn by officers on duty.
