THE SKINNERS SCHOOL CCF
BELT COLOURS - Red and black

OTHER INFORMATION

Yes, I can confirm that it appears identical to one that was used for many years by officers in this contingent, indeed, I have one in my possession - much worn, but still usable. As to its origin, I can't really help you. When I joined the contingent in 1965 it was commonly used by most officers and the SSI. When I asked about it I was told that actually it was a belt that belonged to the PT Corps; somebody had seen it, recognised the school colours, and adopted it - unofficially, I presume. The last part, about origin, is purely hearsay.
