THE SUFFOLK AND CAMBRIDGESHIRE REGIMENT

THE SUFFOLK AND CAMBRIDGESHIRE REGIMENT STABLE BELT

I suspect that the Suffolk and Cambridgeshire Regiment did not have their own stable belt. Many pictures I have seen indicate that the former 4th Suffolks wore the Suffolk Regiment one and the Cambs wore their own ones too. I have quite a collection of original uniforms and insignia of the battalion which have been given to me by the old boys over the years but I have never come across a specific stable belt.

Even the Regimental Drums are slightly different (the Suffolk drums have a small gold key beneath the door of the Gibraltar castle and the Cambs ones don’t as they didn’t have the Battle Honour!)
